Being a Christian means to become Christ-Like, To follow the Word and diligently seeking and following Christ. This is light and light brings truth into focus. God is light and truth and faith is nurtured by seeking and living in the Word. All Goodness and Grace is received when we seek him, diligently. Our hearts and our minds are changed forever and we become Christ-Like. Sin is a refusal to seek Light and Truth. There can be no Good, nor no God for one whom denies Our Heavenly Father. Sin is the result of wanting and lust. Lust causes Greed, which prevents the soul from Salvation. When one focuses on Jesus, The Path will be narrow and straight. Many gifts and and talents will be rewarded to all whom seek Him. Riches and Grace are afforded to the true seekers of the Light, for they will not look back, but look to the future, the Kingdom of Almighty God. For He is our Heavenly Father, whom gave His son for His faithful Children.

Well, I had already voted long before reading this blog but I just spent the last 2 hours reading pros and cons on both sides and I am SO weary. No wonder I'm "boggledmush". I believe I'll pray more and read less of this stuff!

Yes, we watched the concession speech live on TV last night and I thought it was excellent. God has been convicting me for weeks that whoever would be elected as our next president, we have a mandate to respect the office and pray for him daily. That is my hope and prayer for the church.

Dang it Margret, I'm sure you must be right about Greenland:

It was so much more amusing when it was Gaellic. As always, sarcasm and lack of research does nothing but make one look foolish. Sigh.

Comment on Princeton Theological Seminary by rylee95

Steve, I just happened by here through Googling Princeton Seminary. It took me to this post and I felt compelled to respond. Obnoxious to respond to a total stranger, perhaps. But here I go anyway.

My husband and I are both PTS grads. Our experience there was that you can find anything that you're looking for there, theologically speaking. You can find some really "out there" stuff that you (well, we at least) never knew existed and would like to continue to believe doesn't. But more importantly, you find these amazing, thinking, brilliant brothers and sisters in Christ, devoting their lives and their brilliance to the glory of God. We both found it an amazing place to be. Because it's larger than some other seminaries, we found we were able to be selective in the professors we took and we were able to find fellowship with like-minded people while engaging in thoughtful discussions with not-so-like-minded people. At no time did we feel like the seminary itself was making us compromise our own theological convictions.

My husband attended PTS first and I began my seminary career--after he graduated--at a different Presbyterian Seminary. The climate there was compromising, overwhelmingly so. I essentially fled to PTS. And am grateful I did.

Blessings on you and your family as you embark on this journey. The married student housing there (CRW) was an amazing community, particularly for families with children. You will find tremendous support there. I'm excited for you and I don't even know you.

(And I am going to adopt the word logomanikos. I love it.)

Here I go, back to obscurity . . .

Hi, are you sure this is Gaellic? If the milk comes from Denmark, might that language not be Greenlandish or somehting...?
Or should I have read the note of the one commenter before me?
Well, drink milk, be healthy and wonder about languages!

I'm not positive that any adherent to Black Liberation Theology could actually be honestly described as a Christian. So the next POYUS may be a Christian.
